Pick-up Lines: Do They Work?

Meeting people in person has become much more difficult during the pandemic, but it’s still important to figure out how to start a conversation with someone who piques your interest.

So the question is: pick-up line or no pick-up line?

I had a nice chat with Chris Voss, author of Never Split the Difference and former FBI hostage negotiator. He said (half-jokingly) that an opening line was, “Have you given up on finding the man of your dreams?”
